Egg-Free Air fryer Frittata: A Simple and Tasty Breakfast Idea

This is my go to recipe whenever I don’t feel like cooking, not feeling well or I am having busy weekdays. In my previous post I made vegetable frittata made of eggs that was super quick and easy you could try if you like to eat eggs (Link to the recipe).
This time I have made Frittata without eggs just by using chickpea flour, veggies, spices and baked it in an air fryer. This recipe as well gets ready in just 15 minutes.
How to make Air fryer Frittata without eggs?
For making frittata without eggs one of the major ingredient I have used is chickpea flour.
Chickpea flour is made by grinding grinding chickpeas.
Ingredients to make Air fryer Frittata
- Veggies – I have used tomato, onion, cauliflower, green chili you could use whatever veggies you wish to add to make frittata.
- Chickpea Flour and thick curd – Add1 1cup of chickpea flour in the bowl followed by 1/2 cup of curd in the bowl mix it properly add little bit of water as needed and mix it again.
- Oil – I have used 1 table spoon cooking oil (sunflower oil ) in the mixture of chickpea flour to make this recipe.
- Baking soda – This is used to increase the fluffiness of chickpea flour mixture I have used 3/4 tablespoon of it in the mixture of chickpea flour.
- spices and salt – I have added 1/4 tablespoon of garam masala followed by salt as needed, 3/4 tablespoon of turmeric powder and black pepper , pinch of hing, 1/2 tablespoon of red chili powder in the mixture of chickpea flour and mix it all properly.

Preparation to make Air fryer Frittata

Firstly chop the veggies of your choice in the chopper properly. Once done take the silicone pot brush the oil all over the pot to avoid the stickiness of the chickpea flour while baking it.
Post that roast the veggies for 5 to 10 minutes meanwhile prepare the mixture by adding chickpea flour, curd, baking soda, oil and spices.
Mix it all properly once the veggies are roasted add this mixture into the silicone pot properly and bake it for 15 to 20 minutes for 200 degrees.
keep the check while baking it as we don’t have to overbake it once done remove the silicone pot from air fryer and transfer the dish to your platter and enjoy.
Important points
- Chickpea flour mixture is not suppose to be runny it needs to be of thick consistency.
- Curd should be thick not runny as it would not form the mixture of thick consistency.
- To avoid your dish to be burned make sure you keep checking your air fryer while baking it.
