This Nissin Geki carbonara creamy veg has been on my list ever since I learned about it, as food bloggers claimed it’s a dupe of the famous Buldak carbonara, so I had to try it to see what the hype is about.
But let me tell you this Nissin Geki carbonara (creamy veg) can’t be compared with Buldak carbonara no matter what others say. Buldak carbonara would remain one of my favourite ramen available in the market because of its comforting carbonara flavour.
Although I love ramen from the Nissin brand, this one didn’t hit the spot.

My experience
As I mentioned already, it was okayish for me. It can’t be compared with Buldak carbonara, which has been marketed by many food bloggers.
The Cheese flavor was overpowering the taste, so it was more of a cheese flavour overall.
I am someone who doesn’t like an overpowering cheese flavour, so it didn’t work well for me. It was missing the balance of cheese and spices for me, so it’s no from my side. I would not buy this again.

Final Thoughts
Overall, I didn’t like the overpowering cheese flavour of this Nissin Carbonara Creamy Veg Ramen. The cheese flavour was way too overpowering. So it’s a no for me. Also, it can’t be considered a dupe for Buldak Carbonara, since it tastes completely different. But if you are vegetarian and love the cheese flavor, this is a great option for you. It’s also on the cheaper side, price-wise, compared to other options in the market.
